Jo The Tutor also goes by the name of Jo Lindholm!
She has a BSc in Psychology (first class) and Masters with Distinction in Psychology, as well as a PGCE. She is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Psychologist. Jo has taught GCSE and A Level Psychology for over 13 years in a variety of schools across the UK and in Australia and has worked as a Private Tutor across the UK and in the USA and Switzerland. She was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by the Board of Studies (Australia) for her teaching and results and was also nominated for Kent Teacher of the Year Award (2015). Jo genuinely loves working as a private tutor because she knows the enormous impact it can have in terms of improving a student’s knowledge, skills and confidence in Psychology as well as school/exams in general. She also loves getting to know students and their families and prides herself on the relationships she builds and maintains. Jo also works as a Psychology Tutor for the homeschool Wolsey Hall Oxford, supporting the learning of students taking Psychology GCSE and A Level via a homeschooling approach.
Jo is also passionate about adolescent mental health and runs a Mental Health First Aid training company (Responder MHFA), teaching these valuable skills to teachers and leaders across Oxfordshire so that they are better able to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and respond confidently. She is also a co-founder of the Study Skills Academy, supporting teachers and parents by providing useful knowledge and practical strategies to help children flourish academically and in terms of their wellbeing.
